The 2nd Bam Film Festival
The second Bam film festival will celebrate Esfand, this year along with the public invitations from all country’s internal and external film-makers with the name and memory of Bam. This year’s festival has an expanded aim and has persuaded who will celebrate the festival to put the future as an address and in public’s horizon and has an especial focus on education and prevention other than unexpected events.
Therefore, those sended films will accept in this festival that is under the titles such as succor and rescue, social reaction in unexpected events, education and prevention against these events, and also Bam reconstruction that seeks an especial and ultra native look continually. And now, reception of country’s internal and external film-makers for presenting in this festival with a great pleasure has made us more hopeful to the future and more resolute toward reaching our ultimate aim.
The secretariat of festival will accept the sended works till the end of Dey that will be assess and select by a group of our country’s important and reliable film-makers according to the public regulations and conditions that are declared on public invitation (that can see in this site), in order to compete in match part aimly that is certainly the sublimity of look to unexpected events. Bam Cultural Week
Bam is alive…
Debris of old citadel flows the rueful tears on our eyes and cheeks yet. However, you will calm when you see the city is stood among its stable palms along with its old dignity, although its configuration and building material is new. And you try to imagine the citadel the same that will establish by the children of this land.
Bam’s families and young showed us an excessive excitement Shahrivar, 1386. We tried to regain the public morale of this beautiful and historic city and rub off their sorrow by celebrating of Bam cultural week that considering to that horrible earthquake will forget from the memory of that land and its innocent people hardly.
Shahrivar, last year after Bam cultural week, a festival was celebrated in Tehran and Bam and 200 fiction ,documentary ,animation and clip was sended to the secretariat of festival from throughout the country. The purpose of this festival was the collection of documentary and fiction images of this painful event along with images about reconstruction of that ruined city that was constructed by persons in charge and people’s effort during 5years, firmer and more stable than before. 40 films were selected from among the sended works by a group of the best film-makers of country and were chosen from match part in different section so that they compete in Niavaran academy of Tehran.
These films that are about Bam’s earthquake, reconstruction of that city, education and prevention of unexpected events were chosen from among the sended films and those selected received cash awards in addition of the glory tablet and crystal statue of festival in the presence of Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance, Ministry of Development and Housing’s ministers, IRIB and Housing Fundamental’s managers and also a group of good film-makers of country and Bam’s honorable artists.
